Description:
Content: Meditate God’s words in the Garden of Gethsemane. Look closely at the olive trees. There are different variety in shape, form, color and strength. Praise God for His creativity how He orchestrates every living creature into existence. I have fallen in love with these olive trees.
Background: They are evergreen trees, shady, grey-green in color. Young trees have a rather smooth silver grey bark, but with age the slender trunks become stout, fluted and knobby. Many old trees actually develop holes in the sides of the trunks which themselves are hollow; the holes result from old side branches rotting away. An enormously spreading root system extends around each tree in order to absorb sufficient moisture in the dry conditions in which it normally grows. Olive tree symbolizes faithfulness and steadfastness. It is a source of food, light, hygiene, and healing.
Psalms 52:8 says, "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercies of God forever and ever."
