Background: Olives are of many colours, varying from yellow green to black as they ripe. Olive leaves are narrow and sharply pointed, grey-green on the upper surface and white on the underside owing to a complete covering of minute white scales, which help to keep down water loss from the tree.
Psalms 52:8 says, "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercies of God forever and ever."
