Description
Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read:
Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. (John 19:19, 20 NIV84) When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30 NIV84)
Jesus gave up everything and died in the cross because of love. He completed the redemptive plan. Jesus is the real king of Kings, Lord of the Lords, is the King of the Jews, the holiest person.
彼拉多又用牌子寫了一個名號、安在十字架上．寫的是猶太人的王、拿撒勒人耶穌。 [約 19:19]有許多猶太人念這名號．因為耶穌被釘十字架的地方、與城相近、並且是用希伯來、羅馬、希利尼、三樣文字寫的。 [約 19:20] 耶穌嘗〔原文作受〕了那醋、就說、成了．便低下頭、將靈魂交付神了。 [約 19:30]
耶穌放下一切，因著愛，死在十架上，成就了救贖的計畫。祂是真正的萬王之王，萬主之主，是猶太人的王，是至聖者。
